I am an illustrator, designer and educator originally from Ohio, but now living in Portland, Oregon. Being the only girl with two brothers, I spent a lot of time alone doodling and creating imaginary friends. During that time, I developed my interest in design by obsessively drawing house plans and gluing library check-out cards in all of my books… a result of my parents buying me my very own set of offices supplies including a date stamper. I have taken an art class here and there, but am mostly self taught. I spent several years working as a designer in NYC but decided to make the move to Portland so that I could focus on my illustrations. I prefer pen and ink, letterpress and screen printing but also like using the computer to add color and text to my drawings. You can see more of my work at hallecisco.com
